Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Wong Wai Chon announced yesterday the arrest of a PSP officer on suspicion of accepting a HK$10,000 gaming chip from a couple from the mainland as a “mediation fee’

Wong announced the case during a regular press conference. The suspect is a 30-year-old PSP police officer, surnamed Fong.

Wong said when Fong, who was on duty, walked past a bus stop in Estrada da Baía de Nossa Senhora da Esperança on Monday night, he saw the couple arguing over money and their relationship. Thus, he approached them and tried to find out what the matter was.
