The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) announced in a statement yesterday that it will be upgrading its Online Book Shop from tomorrow to Friday to improve its services.

According to the statement, the website’s services during the maintenance period will be suspended.

The statement pointed out that the Online Book Shop has over 300 types of books and periodicals, including publications in traditional and simplified Chinese, as well as in Portuguese and English.  There is also a wide range of categories such as history, literature, visual arts, performing arts, culture, and academic research and studies, the statement noted.

The statement underlined that the website is supported by the Macau Postal Savings’ Electronic Payment Platform.

The statement added that readers in Macau or elsewhere may request publications to be delivered to their designated locations through the Macau Post and Telecommunications Bureau’s (CTT) express mail service (EMS). Those in Macau can also choose to pick up their books at one of the Cultural Affairs Bureau’s 14 public libraries, after Friday.

Further information can be found by accessing www.icm.gov.mo/bookshop or by sending an email to bookshop@icm.gov.mo.
