Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng will attend the opening of the fourth session of the 13th National People’s Congress (NPC) in Beijing tomorrow, the Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS) said in a statement yesterday.

According to the statement, Hoi Lai Fong, the chief-of-office of the Chief Executive Office, will accompany Ho on his working visit to the capital from today until Sunday.

During Ho’s absence, Secretary for Administration and Justice André Cheong Weng Chon will be acting chief executive.

Ho is a former member of the elite Standing Committee of the NPC.
